TIPD 4

Teachers International Professional Development

What funding is available?

The school-determined element of the TIPD programme is aimed at schools in England that already have an existing active link with a school overseas (for at least six months at the time of application), and wish to develop the partnership further through a short study visit.

The programme covers the following costs:

  • Travel to and from the destination
  • Travel insurance for the duration of the visit
  • Accommodation
  • Daily subsistence allowance for breakfast and dinner
  • Airport transfers

Who can apply?

A minimum of two teachers can take part in a study visit, with a maximum allocation of four teachers per school. Teachers should have at least two years' post-QTS experience and teach more than 50% of the time.

When should I apply?

If you are interested in applying for a school-determinded visit, then you will need to do this at least four months prior to departure.

Please ensure that all forms are completed electronically where possible, and have all the necessary signatures.

Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, until the contracted number of places are filled.

Should you require assistance with the form, please contact the OIEB.
